Terms

These are the terms for using Support Small Blank. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

1. What this site is

Support Small Blank is a venue that connects independent artists with people who want to buy their work. We provide the place to list artwork, make offers and arrange pickup. We are not a gallery, an agent or a seller, and we don't own, check or hold any of the artwork listed.

2. Your account

You need to be at least 18 to use the site. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it. Give us accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your Account page.

3. Sales are between you and the other person

Sales and payment are arranged directly between buyers and sellers, in person. Any sale is between those two people. We are not a party to it, and we don't take, hold or handle any payment. We don't guarantee that a piece is as described, that anyone will turn up, or that a sale will go ahead.

Accepting an offer here records the price you've agreed and opens a chat, so that you can arrange the handover. Please treat it as a serious commitment. How the law treats an accepted offer on this site is something we can't promise either way.

Refunds, returns and problems with a piece are for the buyer and seller to sort out between themselves. We don't mediate disputes.

4. Prices and currencies

Sellers choose the currency for each listing, and the price in that currency is the price that applies. To help you browse, the site may also show an approximate conversion into another currency (marked with “≈”). Conversions use fixed approximate rates, are only a guide, and may differ from the real exchange rate. Any sale is agreed and paid in the currency of the listing.

5. Fees

The site is currently free to use. If we introduce fees, we'll tell you first, and they will only apply to sales made after that.

6. Taxes and selling as a business

Sellers are responsible for their own taxes on what they earn from sales. If you sell as a business or as part of a trade, you are also responsible for any legal obligations that come with that, such as consumer-law duties and registration for VAT or similar taxes. We don't handle, collect or report taxes for anyone.

7. What you can list

You may only list original work that you made yourself (see Human-made artwork and AI, below). Your listing and images must be accurate, and you must have the rights to the images you upload.

By uploading content, you let us show it on the site (including in galleries, search and on your profile). You keep ownership of your work and images.

8. Human-made artwork and AI

Support Small Blank is for human-made art. Only your own original work may be listed here, and:

  • No artwork you list may be generated by, or made with the help of, generative AI tools. That means tools that create or alter imagery from prompts or trained models, such as image generators, and AI features that fill in, extend, restyle or replace parts of an image. Ordinary editing is fine: cropping, straightening, resizing, and correcting colour, brightness or contrast.
  • Don't upload other people's work, or work that has been copied, reworked or regenerated from other people's work.
  • Every new listing asks you to declare that you made the artwork yourself, without generative AI. You also make a pledge to the same effect when you create your account. We keep a record of when you did each.

If a listing is reported, or we have a reasonable concern about it, we may ask you for process photos (a sketch, a work in progress or a shot of the piece in your studio) or other evidence that the work is yours. We may remove listings, and may suspend or close accounts, that break this section.

If you think a listing isn't human-made or isn't the artist's own work, please report it: use Report this listing at the bottom of its page and choose “AI-generated, or not the artist's own work”, or email support@supportsmallblank.com. See also how reporting works.

Where it isn't clear, we decide, using our reasonable judgement, whether a piece is original, human-made work, and we'll look at what you give us in good faith.

9. What isn't allowed

You must not use the site to list, post or do any of the following:

  • anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law;
  • work that is stolen, copied, counterfeit, or passed off as someone else's;
  • work generated by, or made with the help of, generative AI, or that isn't your own (see section 8);
  • content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • harassment, threats, hate, or abuse of other users;
  • spam, scams, or attempts to take payment or personal details by deception;
  • links, email addresses or phone numbers in tags, titles or usernames, or other attempts to take people off the site to deal with them elsewhere;
  • other people's private information, or anything harmful to our systems or other users.

10. Reports, removal and suspension

Anyone who is logged in can report an artwork or a profile. We may review reports, and may look at the content involved, including private chat messages between the people involved in a reported sale. We may remove listings or other content, and may suspend or close an account, if we think these terms have been broken or that someone may be at risk. Where it's reasonable to, we'll tell you why.

If you own the copyright in a piece of work and think a listing uses it without permission, you don't need an account to tell us: see Copyright and takedowns.

11. Sellers and buyers

Sellers should describe their work honestly (materials, size, condition), respond to offers promptly, honour offers they accept, and mark a sale as sold once the handover is done.

Buyers should only make offers they mean to keep, turn up at the agreed time, inspect the piece before paying, and pay the agreed price at pickup.

Cancelling. Either side can cancel an accepted sale, with a reason, until it's marked as sold. Please do so early and respectfully, and not as a habit: cancellations are limited (currently five per person per day), we keep a count of them, and repeatedly cancelling, not turning up, or making offers you don't intend to honour may lead to restrictions on your account.

Staying safe. Meeting someone is at your own risk. Please read our advice on meeting safely.

12. Our name, design and content

The Support Small Blank name, logo, site design and software belong to us. Please don't copy or use them in a way that suggests we're connected to you or your work without our permission. Artwork and images that users upload remain theirs.

13. No warranties, and limits on our liability

The site is provided “as it is”. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we don't promise anything about the artwork, the people, or the sales on it. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses arising from sales or meetings between users, or from content users post. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that can't legally be limited, including any consumer rights you have by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we'll tell you on the site or by email.

15. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, this doesn't take away any rights you have under the law where you live. If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies.
