Everything you need to buy and sell here, in plain language. Support Small Blank connects independent artists with people who want their work — and everything is arranged for local, in-person pickup.
Offers. Find a piece you like and make an offer. It has to be at least half the listed price, and higher than any other offer already waiting on that piece. You can have one open offer on each piece at a time. You can have offers on several different pieces at once.
Counter-offers. The seller can accept your offer, decline it, or counter with a higher price. You can accept their counter, or counter back with a price in between. You'll see where each offer stands in My Studio, under “Offers You've Made”.
Agreed price. When someone accepts, that price becomes the agreed price, the piece comes off the gallery, and any other open offers on it are closed. The agreed price is what you pay at pickup.
Pickup proposals. Once an offer is accepted, a private chat opens between the two of you. Either of you can propose a pickup: a date, time and place (within the next 30 days), with an optional note. The other person can accept it or suggest a change. You can reschedule at any time before the piece is sold.
Cancelling a sale. If it can't go ahead, either of you can choose “Cancel sale” in the chat, any time before it's marked as sold. You pick a reason and can add a note; the other person is told, and the piece goes back on sale. Please cancel as early as you can, and only when you need to. There's a limit of five cancellations per person per day.
Mark as Sold. After the handover and payment, the seller clicks “Mark as Sold”. That completes the sale and adds it to the seller's sold works.
Reviews. Once a sale is marked as sold, the buyer can leave one review (a rating, and optionally some words and photos) on the artist's profile. Cancelled sales can't be reviewed.
Meeting a stranger is the part of a sale that needs the most care. A few simple habits go a long way:
Contact us. For help with your account, a sale, or anything else, use the contact form below, or email support@supportsmallblank.com.
Reporting a problem. When you're logged in, you can report someone from a sale's chat (Report this person, at the top of the chat), report an artist from their profile (Report), or report a listing that isn't yours (Report this listing, at the very bottom of its page). Choose a reason (inappropriate content, spam or scam, stolen or fake artwork, copyright infringement, AI-generated or not the artist's own work, harassment, or other), add details if you like, and send. It goes straight to us. If you report someone from a chat, the recent messages from that conversation come with your report so we can see what happened. The person you report is never told who reported them.
Copyright. If you own the copyright in a piece of work and think a listing uses it without permission, you don't need an account to tell us: see Copyright and takedowns.
Tell us what you need help with and we'll reply by email. If you're logged in we'll know which account you're writing from; if not, give us an address to reply to. To report a person or a listing, use the report buttons described above, so we know exactly what you mean.
No. We don't take or handle any money. You agree a price here, then pay the seller directly, in person, when you collect the piece.
If the agreed pickup time passes and the seller hasn't marked the piece as sold, the seller gets a reminder (by email and in the app), and the buyer gets a notice in the app. If it still isn't marked as sold 72 hours after the pickup time (or 14 days after the offer was accepted, if no time was ever agreed), the sale shows as “Pickup Overdue”. The seller then chooses “Mark as Sold” (it happened) or “Mark as For Sale” (it didn't). If you just need more time, agree a new pickup time in the chat and the sale goes back to normal. If nobody does anything for another 14 days, the piece goes back on sale automatically.
Check your spam or junk folder, and give it a few minutes. If it's there, mark it as “not spam” so future emails arrive normally. Still nothing? Use “Resend verification email” on the sign-up screen, or email support@supportsmallblank.com.
Go to My Studio, open the Account tab, and use the Password section: enter your current password, then a new one. Any other devices you're logged in on are logged out.
Use “Forgot password?” on the log-in page. We'll email you a link to choose a new one; it works once and expires after an hour, so check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive. Resetting your password logs you out on every device.
Change your password on the Account tab (or reset it from the log-in page) — that logs out every other device. To log out everywhere without changing it, use “Log out of all devices” on the same tab. Then let us know at support@supportsmallblank.com.
Both are on the Account tab in My Studio. “Download my data” saves a file with your profile, listings, offers, chats, reviews, likes, follows, notifications and reports. “Delete account” asks for your password and for you to type DELETE. If you're in a sale that's still in progress, finish or cancel it first. Sales you took part in stay in the other person's history, with you shown as “Deleted user”, and you can sign up again later with the same email.
No — this site is built around local pickup. If a buyer and seller both prefer to arrange shipping between themselves, that's up to the two of you, and not something we handle or take responsibility for. Shipping art can be expensive, and international parcels may involve customs charges, so agree the details first.
Because payment happens directly between you, refunds and problems with a piece are for the two of you to sort out, ideally at pickup before any money changes hands. We don't mediate disputes, but if someone is behaving badly, report them. See the Terms for more.
